Well its been a busy Christmas! We had 3 celebrations to attend, and Brady has been sick the entire time. After two rounds of two different types of antibiotics,he still has an ear infection in both ears. His cheeks have turned bright red,so it seems he has a viral infection on top of the ear infection. We went back to the doc today and he got a strong antibiotic shot,so hopefully that will do the trick. Hes sitting here fussing as I type,he is so cranky.
Anyways Im going to post some of the Christmas pictures in his photobucket,so be sure and check out the last picture and video link on the right side of the page,to check out his pictures. Gotta go tend to him for now. Will post more later.

Hi everyone!! I'm sorry I'm behind on my posts,Brady has been keeping me so busy these days. Anyways he is doing good, still has ear infection and off balance, but seems to be feeling ok most of the time. Its been a crazy week this week, with doctors appts, poop parties, etc.
You know its amazing how much one little monkey can get into!! I decided a couple nights ago, since he wasn't going to sleep,we would go clean up the kitchen. So I strapped him in his high chair and parked him a little to close to the counter, while I washed dishes. I heard this loud noise and turned around to see Brady had pulled of a full container of cooled, cooking oil and he was covered head to toe,and the floor was puddled about 2inches thick in oil, uhhhhhhh!! Brady had the strangest look on his face,he didn't know whether to laugh or cry,and I couldn't help but bust out laughing,it was to funny!! Well,I'm not sure it was really all that funny,or if maybe it was the insane laughter that comes with sleep deprivation, but regardless,we both got a good laugh. Guess you just learn not to sweat the minor stuff life throws at ya,could be lots worse,at least we never get bored here. So anyway, I ended up walking around in grease while I finished the dishes and wiped down the counters,it was a huge mess. There was grease under the fridge and stove!! By the time I finally got around to mopping, had stripped off all of his clothes and was naked, covered in grease, asleep in the high chair,it was quite the site, lol. I finished up the mopping and we went to bed sometime around 4am,but hey,the kitchen did get clean,so that was a good thing. But it just goes to show, that nothing is safe from Brady's go,go gadget arms, even if he is strapped into a chair, lol. This stripping thing is really beginning to annoy me though!! If I go to the bathroom, for just a minute,Brady is naked when I get back! I don't think there is anything that he cant get off. I have now resorted to turning his zip up,footy pjs, backwards,so far so good. I'm sure it wont be long before he manages to get them off though. Its amazing how resourceful Brady has taught us to be,lol.
Well anyways, that's about it for now. We have had only about 2hrs sleep,so I'm praying Brady will take a nap,hes a cranky little boy atm. But I did want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Hope you all have fantastic, safe time this year. Were finally all ready here, and looking so forward to Brady's first walking Christmas, whoo hoooo!! I will take lots of pictures and video,so be sure and check back after Christmas. Big hugs to YALL!!!

Well we went to the ENT today. Brady has a major ear infection in both ears. It isn't draining,so is making him extremely dizzy and unsteady. He is still walking, but stumbling all over the place. The ENT was amazed that he could walk at all, with the shape his ears are in. So anyways,he put Brady on another antibiotic, and wants to recheck him again in 2 weeks. Its amazing how tough Brady is. He has been a bit cranky and unstable, but otherwise hes been doing well. The doctor was amazed too,he said if it were one of us and our ears looked like that,we wouldn't even be able to walk around. So we started our new antibiotic tonight, hopefully he will start getting better soon. His brother also has an ear infection as well,so he started on the same kind of antibiotic as Brady. After we were done at the doc today,I had to take big brother to the dentist,he had a cavity, his first :( But he done really well. The bad news is,his mouth is very over crowded so we now have to the the Orthodontist to either have some teeth pulled to make room,or to get braces. Our dentist did give me the name of a dentist friend out of town, that he said would be glad to see Brady. We haven't been able to find anyone that would see him,so I'm going to call this guy tomorrow, hopefully we will be able to see him soon. I hope and pray that Brady doesn't end up with braces on his teeth, like his brother.Anyways we wont worry about it now,his teeth are perfect so far,so were keeping our fingers crossed.
Oh about the allergy that they think Brady has,we really didn't find out anything today. For some reason the doc didn't want to do allergy testing on Brady. I think he was more concerned about his ears right now. So maybe when we get his ears cleared up,we can get back to the allergy tests.
Well that's about it for now,I'm ramblin,I think I'm tired, lol. I will post more later.

Just wanted to update everyone on how the docs appt went today. As we suspected, they didnt find anything in the biposys, other than the fact that Brady has an allergy of some kind. So were going to see the allergy doc on Monday for allergy testing. The main thing that Brady drinks is pediasure,so were thinking its going to be something in the pedisaure that hes allergic to. But we will just have to wait and see what they find. I will let ya know as soon as we find out.
Im heading to be now,by some miracle,Brady is sleeping, whooo hooo!! So goodnight to everyone, looking forward to our first nights sleep in a loooooonng time.:)

Just wanted to let everyone know, that were going back to the GI doc tomorrow to get the results from our biopsy's,so please say a prayer for our little man. I will post here after we get in and let everyone know what or if we find out anything.
Anyways Brady is doing good, but still a bit cranky. His brother checked out of school today, because of a fever,so we have two sick little boys at the moment.
But on a good note,Brady tinkled in the potty tonight, whoo hooo!! I only had to make him sit back down twice, lol. We were both so proud of him though.
Gotta get some sleep now, will post more later.

Just wanted to post a quick update. We are going to the GI doc on Thursday,to get the results from the biopsy's. But I did speak to them on the phone, and they couldn't give me the results, but did say that if something was wrong, they normally call,so its safe to assume that they didn't find anything. We will find out for sure on Thursday though.
Brady is doing well, still coughing and a bit cranky, but hes ok. I have been rewrapping Christmas presents all week. Brady knows which ones are his,and he unwraps them the minute I turn my head. He has also been undecorating the Christmas tree as well, uhhhhh! Hes doing so many more things than he did last year. He is totally getting into this Christmas thing. Of course,I didn't give him credit,as usual. He was with me when I got his presents,he actually picked them out, lol. So anyways I didn't even think about him knowing what they were once they were wrapped, but he defiantly knows. He hasn't unwrapped any presents that aren't his!! I swear hes got a better memory that me,lol. Were finally finished up with our Christmas shopping, thank goodness!! Its going to be so much fun this year, since Brady is actually interested in opening his presents, and hes walking, whooo hoooo! I'm gonna get lots of pictures and video,so don't forget to check the blog after Christmas. I also wanted to let everyone know,I have added a link in the right hand column here,Brady's videos and pictures, you can click that and get the latest videos and pictures of both Brady and big brother.
Well that's about it for me,hope to get to bed soon. I will post more later.

Well Im sitting here at 3am,realising how very lucky I am. Most people would be sleeping by now,but instead I sit here and listen to my sweet Angel jabber in his sleep. My heart is overflowing with emotions; Guilt for getting frustrated over the many things that didn't go the way I thought they should or for getting upset over the many the spilled drinks, poop parties,or manic messes. My heart is overflowing with joy, thankfulness, and such love,as Brady sleeps so peacefully and giggles with the sweetest dreams, and every now and then says,ok,ok,ok, my mama,or gagaga. I swear its like listening to Angels singing,I could sit here all night and just listen to him jabber, giggle and watch him sleep,he is my very precious little Angel.
It really hit me today, when the doc asked me,"how I handled this all the time",this, being Brady's hyper activity and downright stubbornness at times, lol. Brady was being a pill with the doctor ,but his doc is an amazing, compassionate man,and he loves Brady so very much. He is yet another of the many blessings God placed in our lives. Anyways I explained to him, that I could look at the glass half empty or half full, and that I had to be thankful for the many things, good and bad, that Brady does. I told him that their are so many parents that dream of their kiddos doing the things Brady does,no matter how bad the things might be. There are so many children and adults even, that aren't able to physically do these things. It hit me,how fortunate we really are. Brady is a happy, healthy, absolutely wonderful and precious little boy. He has so much unconditional love to give, loves everyone equally, never meets a stranger, and everyone is a friend. Whether they be big, fat, tall, short, skinny, black, white, purple or pink,he treats them all the same. He is so very innocent in everything he does. He is eager to please and to make people love him,and to make people laugh. He is a very special little soul. I was telling someone tonight, that the fact that Brady has Angelman Syndrome isn't a stress at all to me. Brady is who he is,and AS is a part of that. I love everything about him,he is just perfect, the way God intended him. The thing that does bother me,is when someone looks at him with disgust,or with the look, that they pity him. Brady isn't to be pitied, he isn't the one that has the problem. He is happy,no matter what. He loves his life and everything about it. Those people that don't see Brady as a person, but as just a disabled person or a nuisance, are the people that have the problem. Those are the people that have a disability much greater than Brady. If they take the time to get to know this little man, they could really learn from him. And if they dont, well then thats their loss, and they have lost the chance at being blessed. Anyways, that and the seizures are my only major stresses when it comes to Brady. That's not to say that he doesn't make life very challenging and extremely interesting at times, but he is soooooo worth it. Its funny how some people take the little things for granted in life, such as their kids learning to crawl, walk, get into the cabinets, flush the phone down the toilet, sticking cue tips in the vcr, sneaking into the fridge taking everything out, etc. But with us,we tried to show Brady how to do those things, dreaming of the day that he would be able to do them on his own,not ever sure that he would. So I'm learning to never take any of those things for granted, but to be thankful that Brady can do them. And I have to admit,he keeps me from being bored, and if you really think about,it can be downright amusing at times, lol.
So anyways,I just wanted to share that with everyone. I'm sitting here counting my blessings tonight, and yes, feeling mushy! Guess I'm realising how my sweet boys are growing up. My oldest son wont even give me sugar on the lips anymore,he turns the cheek, lol. I am so very proud of him as well. He is one of the most compassionate, kind and generous 9yr olds you will ever meet. He thinks anyone with special needs, must be an Angel,he is too sweet! He is a special little boy,in a different way than Brady, but still very special. I'm so darn proud of both of them. Ok I'm done being mushy, gonna get some sleep now.
Just remember,be thankful for the little things in life, and make the most of every day!! Enjoy you babies while their little!! Goodnight all!!

Well I took Brady to the doc today. As I suspected,he does have an ear infection, and is now on an antibiotic. I think this is the reason for his raunchy attitude lately, and for many of his other behavior issues. So hopefully he will settle down in a couple of days...
The doctors appt went well,he only stripped one time and only pulled one unsuspecting persons hair, lol. Of course he gave the doc a run for his money, and yanked his stethoscope out of his ears. I had to lay on top of him to let the doc look in his ears. But we got it done anyways,so that was good.
Hes doing good tonight, but no where near being sleep,of course. I put him in his high chair for a little chill out time, since all he has wanted to do is play fight with us all night. Anyways,he figured out how to take the tray off the chair and climb out,hes a smart little cookie.
Well thats about it for now,I will post more later.

Well its been a rough one here today,or yesterday now I should say. I took Brady to town to return some of his jeans that were to big,I have been procrastinating and haven't done it yet,so had to get it done once in for all. Anyways,Brady has been getting sick and was in a mood, not sure how to describe it really. I forgot his stroller, naturally, and the store doesn't have carts,so he had to walk. He done ok at first, was charming a lady and her teenage daughter at the check out counter. But once I said ok lets go get your new jeans,he decided that wasn't in his plans. He wanted to stay and entertain the ladies at the counter. So I had his bag on my arm,and didn't want to try and carry him,so I tried to make him walk holding my hand. Well he threw himself in the bent his knees and threw himself in the floor, refusing to go. I had to practically drag him to get him to go. Then he tried to empty off the jewelry stands on the way by. Of course pitching a fit when I removed his hands! He tried to drag off the purses next! So I got to the back of the store in the children's dpt and was trying pick out his jeans, meanwhile he was going in the dressing room,so I had to get him out of there several times, him pitching a fit the entire time. Then he decided he didn't want all the shirts on hangers,so started snatching them off, throwing them in the floor and giggling the entire time. Every time I tried to take one away,he would hold his behind his back and not let me have it. So I finally got him over most of that and he decided he didn't want all the jeans folded up on the racks,so he started throwing them in the floor. I was trying to find his size and clean up the path of destruction along the way,not good at all!!!! I wanted to pick him up some new shirts while we were there,oh yea didn't mention that one. He has decided that he should wear his shirts, with his arm in one sleeve and the other out of the neck hole,so hes stretching out all his shirts!!! So anyways,I couldn't really browse with him acting up,so I found the first clearance rack and grabbed one of every color, lol lol. We quickly headed back to the front to check out, meanwhile passing the purses jewelry counter, etc, and meanwhile him leaving a path of destruction along the way!! But we did manage to check out,and of course the girl just thought he was cute as a button. I told her his horns were coming out,but she didn't believe me! So I pretty much had to drag him from the store,to the mall entrance. He didn't want to leave at all. Then he spent the entire time, pitching a fit when I wouldn't let him go in each store. I was dragging his bag,and the bag of clothes and dragging him too. We stopped in a jewelry store where he was grabbing everything he could find, then grabbed some kind of steel device they use for sizing,I just knew he was going to shatter the glass cases or knock me out before I could get it out of his death grip!! But it all worked out ok,nothing broken and I even had one nerve left, lol.
We made it to the car, where I yanked off his shirt that was hanging down on his shoulder, and put him on a new one, with the plans of going to get grocery store to get dog food. But I was exhausted by then, and decided it was best to just come home. So we came home, and daddy had to work late. Brady was extremely irritable and more head strong than usual. He would let me know he wanted something, but then pitch a fit like it wasn't right. He wanted pediasure in his cup,but it was already full. I finally had to pour it out and put a whole new can in just to make him happy!!!!!!! I swear I think he just likes to boss me around sometimes. Normally I wouldn't give in,but I wanted to hang onto my one last nerve I had today. Daddy got in around 9pm and I left Brady with him, while I went and got the poor animals some food. Brady had been fussy all afternoon,I know hes feeling bad. My mom went and got some medicine for him,and it seemed to help. Daddy went to bed about 11 and Brady decided he was bored. So he took his diaper off and had a poop party while I went to the car to get his wet wipes. So for the second time tonight,he went to the bathroom. I made him walk,so he left a trail of poo all the way down the hallway where he was running his hands down the wall, yippeee! He got his bath, for the second time, and we went to the high chair,so that I could clean up supper dishes, and mop. He was very patient though,I was proud of him. But once I let him back out in the therapy room,he decided he needed another bath, yep you guessed it,he had yet another poop party. I had duct taped his diaper on,so he couldn't get it off. But he managed to go in from the bottom, uhhhhhh!!!!!! So for the third time tonight,we went to the bathtub again!!!!! He is one squeaky clean little boy at this point, lol. And finally, thank goodness, just fell asleep.
So that's about it for our day!! Were getting up in a couple of hours to go to the doc. I think hes got ear troubles. He is pulling at his ear,and fussing, its really red. Plus his balance has really been of today.
Anyways,I will post more when we get back from the doc, hopefully he will be fine. Btw,believe it or not,Im really ok,lol lol. I have decided that I have to learn to accept the things I cant change. Plus my sweet little monkey is so worth everything that we go through here. There are more good days, than bad,so the good makes up for it all. Plus I'm so thankful that my sweet boy is able to do all the things he does,so many kiddos aren't able to,and their parents would do anything for them to be able to. So I really do feel blessed to have my little Angel, poo and all, lol.

Well we made for the endoscopy yesterday. Didn't get a chance to post,as we were all so tired when we got in. We weren't home long before we hit the hay.
Anyways the doc said that everything looked good, except the esophagus. He said that it was thickly lined with rough, white patches,no idea what it is. He did take several biopsies,so hopefully we can learn something from those. But if many of you may remember, for the last year, since Brady's mono,he gets the white patches in his mouth, with no explanation as to why. I really think that its going to be linked back to the mono,or Epstein Barr virus.
The GI doc said that he thinks the white patches may be a yeast,or some other kind of infection,or a possible allergy of some kind. So if the tests all come back negative,we will be going to see the ped,and most likely an allergy doctor for more testing. That's about all we know for now on that. But I will post more as soon as we know,2 to 4 weeks.
On a lighter note,Craig and I took Brady with us to finish up our Christmas shopping today. Brady had a blast and was in the best kind of mood. But man oh man,has he been one stubborn, but extremely sure of what he wants, little turkey. He had a blast socializing with everyone at the restaurant. He even made a girlfriend while there, though she was much older than him, lol. He helped pick out Bubbas Christmas presents at Toys R Us and at the Mall. He kept holding peoples hands in the mall, but they all seemed to really enjoy it,he made new friends everywhere we went. And of course he picked out himself a Christmas present while we were at the Mall. We were strolling along, when we walked past a Lexus they had parked, advertising I guess. Anyways Brady pitched a fit to get to that car for some unknown reason. He even through himself down in the floor pitching a fit to get to the car. We let him go to see if we could figure out what he wanted, but he just went over and tried to open the door, lol. I told him we couldn't do that,or we would get a ride, straight to the police station, once the car alarm went off, lol. So Craig dragged this kid away from the car, kicking and fussing. We went ahead and done our shopping, but had to walk past the car to get out of the Mall. There were several other cars along the way,but we didn't have any problems with them. But once we got back to the Lexus,Brady went ballistic yet again. He threw himself down and we had to fight him off the car, again!! So we told him that he was way to young to get a car from Christmas, but he didn't seem to think so... Once we got past the car,he was ok after that. He did really try hard to convince us to get him several toys in the other store that we went in,and he never does that. I know it seems so crazy to some people, but were so proud of him for all of this. It really is a milestone for him. Most kids have already gone through the stages of "I want,I want". Brady is just now starting this. It just means that hes moving forward in development. Its funny the things that we are thankful for,the things that many people just take with a grain of salt.
Well I'm beat,so I'm heading to bed soon, just wanted to post and update for those of you wondering. Have a great night.

My mom says that our research organization, Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, is working really hard on a treatment or even a cure for me and my friends. I am thankful to have 25 words but I look forward to the day that I can carry on long conversations and talk so much that everybody has to ask me to please be quiet for a few minutes :) Anyway, mom says Im awesome and super funny and I have to agree, lol.
