Did you guys think we had abandoned you forever, lol. We have been so busy doing some home renovations these past couple of weeks, so things have been messy, crazy around here.
Anyways Brady is sleeping so thought I would take some time to post. Things are good here, Brady has been a monkey lately :) He missed school on Wed, since he decided that he needed to stay up til after 5:45am. We went over to my grandmas Thursday night, to visit with her and to visit with some Missionaries that come in ever so often to stay with her. Brady was all over the place, being a monkey as usual. He played so hard with them that he was sweating. They could not get over the amazing difference in Brady, since the last time they seen him.
Friday night Brady and big brother spent the night with Maw Maw. We weren't in a rush to get Brady this morning, since we were trying to get some of the painting done in their bathroom. We finally called them about 10am. Come to find out, Brady had not been to sleep all night, and was totally manic, pooooor Maw Maw. We went straight and got him, so that she could get some rest. Brady didn't go to sleep until some time after lunch today. He woke up in about three hours to get ready to go to the fair.
I decided that we wouldn't take his stroller to the fair, but instead let him walk. This is his first year at the fair, since he started walking. Of course he dad was very hesitant, he strongly suggested that we needed to take the stroller, just in case. Anyway we didn't take it, and Brady done so well. He walked the entire time. He was amazed at all the people and the lights. He made several new friends, had them holding hands, walking around with him, lol. He has totally perfected his new broke wrist wave, its soooooo cute. He was waving at everyone. Each time his brother played a game, Brady would smile and give the cutest broke wrist wave, to the person working the booth, and they would give him a free prize, lol lol. We came away with a bag full of stuffed animals :) I think Brady had the best time of any of us, and he by far outwalked us,lol.
Were back home now, and Brady fell asleep about 2 hrs ago, he is wiped out! Im still painting the bathroom, but taking a break between paint coats.
Everything else is going good here. Just thought I would share a couple of funny things that Brady has been doing lately....
Before I tell this story, let me make it clear that we are McCain/Palin supporters!
Ok, Brady has been walking around saying Obama, lol lol. I have no idea where he got this from, we dont talk politics around him. He started saying this on Tuesday. So Wed I was telling his respite worker that he had been saying this, so she asks Brady who he will be voting for, he blurts out Obama!!!! I swear, I thought we would both roll! So every time we asked him who he was voting for, he would get this sneaky grin and say "Obama". Well his brother came in from school, and I told him to ask Brady that question, Brady again blurts out Obama, when asked who he's voting for. His brother, being a huge McCain/Palin fan, was not happy. Ever time Brady would say Obama, Peyton would add "stinks", behind it. Its hilarious to see our kids in a political debate, lol.
Another thing that Brady done, is we went out to get in the van, but instead of Brady going to his side, which is the driver side, he goes to te passenger side. I tell him to come to my side, but he opens the passenger door and climbs into the front seat!! I ended up having to drag him out of the front seat, drag him to the driver, back seat and tell him that he has to ride in the back! I swear, this kid grows a little every day, hes getting to be such a grown up, opinionated 6yr old little boy! I have to laugh, most people would see these things as a nuisance, but for us, they are so darn cute!!!!
Anyways that's about all that's going on here. Gotta go slap another coat of paint on. Will post more later.

Well things have settled down a bit here. My TV started back working, yet again! Of course my toilet picks and chooses when it will flush, and I still have to use a sock as a stopper for my bathtub, lol. And yes Laurie, he did sleep that night :) Thanks so much for the good thoughts and prayers!! Brady is doing well, he spent a night with Maw Maw last night. She ate supper with us and we walked her home, but Brady wanted to stay. He pitched a tantrum the whole way home and for an our after we were home. Once he calmed down we decided to let him go back for the night, he was very happy. He done good though, he slept all night for her. When I got him at 6am this morning he led me to the bedroom, climbed up in the bed and motioned for me to lay down. He went back to sleep and slept for several hours. He is getting so good at guiding us around where he wants us to go, were like a bunch of puppies, lol. Anyways thats about it for now. I will post more later.

Well its been one of those days here! Brady didn't go to school, since his teacher is still recovering from a ruptured appendix. I thought it would be best to give her another week to recoup before bring the wild man back to her. I just decided that me and Brady could hang out at home and do some things here, baaaaaaaad decision!!! So far Brady has had one of his glorious parties, had to give him a bath and do lots of cleaning afterward. Well he then decided while I was loading the washing machine, that he would flush something down my toilet, the toilet is now stopped up. I couldn't find anything missing, so wasn't sure what it was, until they got ready for their bath tonight, it was the stopper to the bathtub!!!!!! He also thought it would be a great idea to pour a full glass of drink into the big screen tv, yep that to is now broken. Well he went to the kitchen a few minutes ago and poured an entire drink, all over the counter and the floor, then retreated to big Bubba's room to pour moon sand all in his bed, for the second time! So we have a broken toilet, broken TV, sticky floor, bed full of pink sand, missing bathtub stopper (had to use sock to plug the bathtub for a bath), and a wild man running loose!!!!! Yep, bedtime cant come soon enough at our house tonight!! But oh, did I mention that I forgot to get Brady's sleeping meds filled today, so we might not even have a bedtime tonight :(
Anyways gotta go get the monkeys out of the bath and do some more washing. Will post more later. Wish us luck :0

As you can see, we had a blast camping this weekend. Brady made many new friends. We went to a shopping center, where he loved socializing with everyone. He made friends with a band that was playing out on the side walk, they ended up singing to him while he danced for everyone, it was to cutest thing I have ever seen! I tried taking him in to a couple of shops, but after nearly breaking some very expensive items, I decided he would be best sitting outside on the bench with his dad, lol. That was fine by him, he loved playing with everyone passing by. At one point he ran over the a big glass window, put his face against it and blew kisses to some ladies that were sitting on the inside eating. They all started laughing and waving at him, he was waving and giggling. I then decided that he might like to ride the escalator, but we almost fell when we were getting on. He loved riding up, but my legs didn't like holding him and walking back down :) Anyways we did have fun and the best part was, that he slept in his own bed, instead of with us :)) He played in the sand, water and mud all weekend long, and loved riding the wagon down all the trails.
Its back to the ole drawing board tomorrow :( We start our first day of PT, so that should be interesting. Everything else is good, he continues to progress every day. He is doing so well at answering yes or no questions, and has become extremely opinionated about what he wants or doesn't want to do. He really tells me off if I make him go a direction he doesn't want to, or do something he doesn't want to do. I can ask him if he wants to do something and he will shake his head yes or no. I know that this is a developmental milestone for him, but it sure makes things more difficult.
Well that's about it for now. I will post more after PT tomorrow.

Well, me and the boys went to our first family reunion today, since Brady started walking. I have to say it was a very interesting, exhausting experience! Their dad decided not to attend, claiming to have some other things he needed to take care of, typical guy thing, lol. Anyways Brady done really well, I was shocked. He did have to give hugs to everyone there, of course he didn't know any of the people he was hugging, lol. I think he must have sat on 50 different laps today, more than once each, lol. He made lots of new friends, and they were all so exciting to see him walking, since he wasn't walking last year when we attended. Everyone there totally fell in love with him. It was so funny to see the men reacting to him, its typical to see a woman hug him and talk to him, but its another thing to see a big strong man. Brady didn't care if it was male or female, he had to try out every lap. Of course I spent the entire time running around, protecting drinks, worrying he would pull hair, jewelry or break something, but we escaped without incident. He never once pulled anyones hair, or even attempted to. He did pinch or do anything else aggressive. He just sat in everyones laps, and gave big hugs like a big boy. While I was fixing his plate of food, he sat in a metal chair, not once offering to get up, he was so patient! He sat in the chair and ate, and sat there while I ate my food. When I went back to get a desert plate, he again sat in the chair and patiently waited! He really was such a big boy today, I couldn't be a prouder mommy tonight!!! I know that he is learning all these things at school, he would never have done all this a couple months ago! I just cant wait to tell him teachers how well he done.
Anyways just thought I would share our day with you guys. Gotta get some sleep, Brady went to sleep about 10:30 tonight, whooo hoooo!!!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while, its been crazy here. Not much going on here, but I will start with today. We took both boys to the neuro, Brady for a check up and med reduction and Peyton for his headaches. The visit went well, but I wont say it was uneventful, lol. Brady got a good report, we are now weaning him off a second med, Keppra. We will be dropping the dose every 2 weeks until hes totally off this med. He is currently taking 1000mg, so its going to be a scary time. We are nervous, but we know that we have to go for it, otherwise we will never know if its possible for him to be off of this med all together. Were looking forward to the decrease, as this med does cause major aggression issues for our little guy. I will keep you all posted on how it goes. Brady was really sweet during the visit, he just couldn't wait to get his hands on the doc :) Brady made him stop working on the computer and give him some love. Of course Brady managed to swipe the docs stethoscope and had to taste of it. He even demonstrated how well he could throw things, but he only did it one time, so that was an improvement. As for Peyton, he is going to be trying a new preventative med for his headaches. He is going to be taking a low dose of the med that Brady just came off of, Topamax. He isn't crazy about being on a med, but he deserves to be free from these terrible headaches. We are also going to be taking him in for an MRI, just to check things out. Peyton was a hoot during the visit. Most of the time he is very quiet and has somewhat of a dry sense of humor, but not today. He totally cracked me up at one point. Peyton was sitting on the table messing around when an alarm went off in the hallway. I looked at him and said uh oh, you done it now. He said that he didn't do anything, lol. The doctor looked up and said oh no Peyton you have done it, were all going to go up in a mushroom cloud now. Peyton quickly and seriously responded, ummmmm its not a mushroom cloud, its a cumulus cloud, lol lol. I just laughed and told the doc that since Peyton had started science, he seems to know everything about anything, lol.
The day was good over all. We went to our favorite restaurant to eat, keeping in mind that this is more than an hour and a half from where we live and we haven't been there in over 6mths. Anyways a waitress there, not our waitress, comes over and starts chatting to Brady, saying that she remembers him and that he is so sweet. I was so impressed that she would remember him, having only seen him one other time, months ago. I guess it just goes to show the kind of impression that our kiddos leave on people :) We also met a lady at school this morning, when I went to pick Peyton up, that remembered Brady from the store yesterday. She was telling his ST how she had met him and that he wanted to go home with her, and that she kept running into him everywhere she went in the store. She just kept saying how social and how sweet he is.
Anyways everything else is good here. Brady still has a bit of a cold, but he is handling it well. We have been trying some potty training, but not much luck so far. He has a potty in the room with us now, since he has learned to do nothing but flush the regular toilet over and over. He refuses to do anything on the toilet, other than keep flushing, he just loves it. Anyways he took his diaper off one day this week, climbed up on his potty, with the lid closed, and peed. So he did pee on the potty, that was good, but unfortunately it wasn't in the potty, lol. I did cheer for him, since he at least has the concept down. Were going to keep working on it, I know he will do with when he is ready.
He is doing great in school! He is learning so much, in the short time that he has been there so far. He loves interacting with all the other kids. We visited with Peyton's class on Wed, when I stopped in to pick Peyton up. The kids are amazing with Brady, they love him and he loves them. They were all gathered around him, taking turns holding his hands and high fiving him, it was to cute. The especially loved it when Brady was patting Peyton on the head and yanking on his arms. The more the kids giggled the harder Brady patted, lol.
Brady really is coming out of his shell these days, its so much fun. He is doing so many new things, its hard to fit them all into one post. I will post as much as I can remember, as I remember it.
Hope you guys are all doing well. I will have new pictures to post in a couple of weeks. Were taking the boys camping and to the Seafood Fest, so it should be loads of fun.
I'm tired, so gonna hit the hay tonight, its not often Brady is sleeping at 10:34pm, gotta take full advantage. Night guys!

P.S. I almost forgot to tell you guys that Brady called me a bad name tonight! He was ticked off because he wasn't ready to get out of the bath. He kept walking around me after I sat down, saying "mu mama", it finally hit me that he was calling me a "mean mommy",lol!! So what if I'm a mean mommy, I'm such a proud mommy right now!!! I bet there aren't many people that get to brag about their kids calling them mean Mommy's, whooooo hoooo!!!

My mom says that our research organization, Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, is working really hard on a treatment or even a cure for me and my friends. I am thankful to have 25 words but I look forward to the day that I can carry on long conversations and talk so much that everybody has to ask me to please be quiet for a few minutes :) Anyway, mom says Im awesome and super funny and I have to agree, lol.
