Brady's home tonight. He wore Maw maw out pretty good last night. But he did go to sleep about 1am and slept til 6am,so that was good. It was nice to be able to get some sleep last night,but I did miss the little buggers. Oh and Maw maw said her toe was fine today,so no damage done there,not sure how the curtains faired though,lol.
Anyway Brady is doing well,he ate tons of watermelon last night at Maw maws. He has eaten some rice crispy candy tonight,m&m's and just ate some noodles. Not sure what the appetite change is about,but it would be nice if it would continue. I'm going to go ahead and call to get him set up for the tests tomorrow though.
Oh Brady rode a tricycle at the store a couple nights ago,hes never done that before. He of course went in reverse and ran over everyone and everything,but it was so darn cute. He was so proud of himself and so were we. That was the first time hes ever shown any interest in a trike,guess were going to have to get him one now.

| Well both boys are spending the night with Maw maw tonight,a much needed break for Craig and me. But I cant help but to worry about my little guys. I hope everything goes ok tonight. I just talked to maw maw and she said that Brady is no where near sleepy yet. Its going to be a long night I'm afraid. Pray that everything goes well tonight!! Pray for poor,tired Maw maw!! Peyton had to get on the phone with me to tell me that Brady dropped a chair on Maw maw's toe,and that he was trying to rip down her curtains,sigh.........I'm going to bed now to get some much needed sleep. Don't know how much sleep I will get,more than Maw maw Im sure!!! Keep ya posted. |

Update
|
Just wanted to let everyone know that Brady is doing fine. I'm pretty sure that I seen some small seizure activity while he was sleeping last night,yes he was actually sleeping. Of course I got no sleep,for worrying about him,but that's ok. I feel better knowing that my little man is being looked after in case something bad happens. But he is doing well,things dont seem to be affecting him much. He is still a happy sweet little boy.
Anyway,Brady's new favorite skill is turning the water on and off to the tub. For some reason he always goes for the hot water,naturally..... So that's one more thing that we have to be watching out for. These days,it seems that there aren't to many things that Brady boy cant do. I'm not complaining at all,its like one big world of therapy,lol.
He just brought me the tv remote and fussed at me til I turned the tv on for him,thats new!! Hes never expressed interest in the tv,other than to push all the buttons and reprogram it. Sure would be nice if he would sit still long enough to watch tv,lol.
Anyway I will keep ya posted on anything new. |

Brady had a seizure.
|
| Just wanted to let everyone know that Brady had a seizure this morning at about 3am. He was laying on my chest and had just fallen asleep. He jerked his arm backward and hit the desk really hard,then jerked again,knocking the mp3 player to the floor,it was myoclonic seizures. Then shortly after that his mouth started twitching and his body went somewhat limp. I tried to wake him,but he only opened his eyes for them to roll to the left hand side. He seized for about a minute or so,then came out and was laughing not to much later. I gave him a cup and he kept dropping it,but finally did regain composure and was able to drink. He is now sitting in the floor playing with his favorite toy. Hopefully he will be ok and we wont have any other seizures this morning. I will be watching him very closely,not sure when or if I will ever make it to sleep. I'm just so thankful that he was laying on my chest so that I knew he was seizing. I don't know if I will ever be able to sleep again!!!!! |

Well Brady has been up to lots of things lately. He has become interested in climbing the spiral stairs,hmmm. He has never been interested in the stairs before,but thanks to big brother agging him on,he is now. He got 4 steps up today then was fussing cause he couldn't figure out how to get back down. Of course I was right there watching him,just wanted to see how far up he could get.
He has also figured out how to work the MP3 player,dad wont be to happy about that one,but Brady sure is. Hes kicked back in dads recliner,listening to music,lol. If course he keeps tasting of the headphones,lol.
Brady has also been walking a lot today. He just decided to take off and walk from the chair to the TV today. I cant help but jump up and run behind him. I just cant stand the thought of him falling,guess I'm going to get real busy running huh. He of course just thinks its so funny to give his mom a heart attack,lol.
We went school shopping this weekend,got mostly Peyton's school clothes,because we have most of Brady's already. This is the first year that we have had to buy Brady school clothes,it almost made me cry. I really do hope that he gets to go to school this year though. If we don't get this sleep straightened out I'm not sure how it will all work out.
He did however sleep all night last night,first time in a long,long time,whooo hooo. I wish I could say that I thought it was the beginning of a new trend for him. But its 1:22 am and hes going strong,so no such luck I guess.
He still isn't eating a lot these days,but did eat part of a hot dog,some potato soup,and a bite of a candy bar today,so hey,that's better than usual. Hopefully things will get better soon.
Anyway that's about it for now,I will keep ya ll posted. |

Bradys day.
|
Well so far today Brady has managed to have a poop party,get in the trash,get into the chocolate and eat half of it,and break a plate. Hes been the busy little boy today. He is just so darn cute,lol. He has been saying mama,just to make me look at him,all day long. He has just been talking up a storm today,not sure what most of what he said was,but it was cute,lol. He also ate a honey bun tonight,so that was great to see him eat something. Oh and today he walked on his knees,all over the living room,then I made him bend over,while having his feet on the floor and he stood back up by himself,whoo hooo.
He is right now talking to his brother while his brother sleeps. He keeps saying my buba over and over. Well hes about to go climb on top of sleeping buba,so gotta go for now. Will keep ya posted. |

Bradys test results.
|
| Well we finally got Brady's test results back today. The doc says that Brady has a small irritation in the beginning portion of the small intestine. She thinks that it might be an ulcer,but not sure yet. He is on an acid blocker for 3 weeks and if no improvement she wants to run the light down his throat. She thinks that its most likely an ulcer,but may do a biopsy if necessary. So far I havent seen any improvements in his eating patterns,hes been on the blocker for over a week now. I am keeping my fingers crossed though. I will keep everyone posted on what we find out. |

Well we didn't get Brady's test results back today. Cant tell that the medicine is working yet,but hes only had it twice. Hes had a good day today,into everything of course. He went for a swim today and put his own floaty on,lol. We had a life jacket on him,but when I turned around he was wearing his arm floaty. So i asked Craig did he put that on him,and Craig said no he must have done it. He did,he just slid it on,guess he felt he needed a little extra security,lol.
Man oh man,Brady is wired tonight. So far hes adjusted the settings on my computer and tv. He also cleaned off my computer desk,how kind of him. He rolled up my area rug in the living room and turned over my basket of clean laundry. He also pulled all the couch cushions off and flipped them all around the living room. He got a bowl of dip that his brother left out and spread it all around,oh and we had a poop party earlier today,yipppee,party on! He is absolutely manic and here it is 3:20 am. His sleep seems to be getting much worse these days,don't know whats up with that. We didn't get in bed til 7am yesterday morning,and now were up still at this time of the morning. We only slept 4hrs,you would think he would be tired. Oh well,life goes on huh.
Anyways everything else here is going pretty good,but I'm gonna sign off for now. My sweet little Angel needs me. I will post again later. |

Bradys day,.
|
Well we went for Brady's Upper GI today. He done really well. I gave him an empty sippy cup just before the test,and he handed it to the technician,for her to put something in it. I just laughed and said yep,she is going to put something in it alright,lol. So she put the chalky mess in it and he actually drank it. He didn't even stop to taste how bad it was,he waited til he had nearly drank the entire cup,to stop and taste. Of course he then handed the cup back to me and started telling me off,lol. I did give him some pediasure to wash down the nasty chalky stuff. He held really still for the first test. They started turning him on his sides to take xrays and he got a bit frustrated,but he really wasn't that bad. We managed to get all the xrays done,and he only kicked the poor lady a couple of times. One of the ladies kept telling Brady to turn on his side,then told him ok now,hold your breath. I said oh he doesn't know how to do that and she well he just did,hm mm I think it might have been luck,lol.
We then went to pick up his pediasure and his new acid reducer. Of course everyone there had to come out and play with Brady. He played peekaboo and just showed out for them,hes such a little monkey!
I hope I didn't look to terribly bad,Brady had been turning the lights on and off while I was getting ready. Imagine trying to do makeup while using a strobe light,lol. So its a good possibility I looked like a clown,lol.
Anyway Peyton has been going to bible school this week and Brady goes with us to pick him up. He is so amazed at all the kids dancing and singing. He stands on the pew and does his own little dances,lol. During the prayer tonight,he started yelling,"Bubba,Bubba,my Bubba',lol. Bubba was sitting up in the front with his class. We tried to quieten Brady down,but he was so hyped up,to much stimulation I think.
Well that's about it for now.Hope to hear from the tests tomorrow,will let yall know. Gotta go,Bradys got the remote,turning the channels on the tv. |

Bradys doc appt.
|
Brady's GI appt went well today. She thinks that he has some major acid issues. She put him on a very strong acid reducer and he is scheduled for an Upper GI in the morning. We go back in two months. If there is no improvement when we go back,they want to run the light down his throat and look for anything out of the ordinary. We really liked the doc,she was very nice and helpful. She listened to our concerns and seemed very open minded.
Anyway I will keep everyone posted on what we find out. |

Bradys doing well.
|
Just wanted to let everyone know that Brady is doing well,no more drop seizures. He had a good day today. He got up early this morning and is actually sleeping now,hope he stays that way for the rest of the night.
He poured his cereal in the floor tonight,and didn't eat it of course. But he did pick it up one by one and put it on the table. We had to clap for each piece he picked up,but were proud of him for cleaning up his mess,even if he didn't eat.
He ate some spaghetti yesterday,and some cheese cake,but hasn't eaten anything today. He has a GI appt on Wed of this week,so hopefully we can get some answers the reason for his hunger strikes. Anyway I will post more after the appt. |

Bradys hospital trip.
|
| Well its been an eventful night here in the our household. Craig got called into work,so it was just me and the boys here. I had my back to Brady while he pulled the couch cushions off and was playing with them. He started screaming so I ran over to see what was wrong with him,apparetnly he fell while trying to get on the couch. He had a puffy eye and a small knot on back of his head. I finally got him calmed down and he was standing by my chair at the computer desk when he suddenly fell foward and hit the front of his head. He cried for a while,but didnt have any marks from hitting his head. So in a few minutes he was back standing by me at the desk and he just suddenly fell foward again,but I caught him this time. He was really upset,even though he didnt bump anything. I had him in my lap and he was acting really strange,really jerky and fussy. I called maw maw to come down to see if she could do anything with him,hes crazy about her. While we were waiting he fell foward in my lap several times. So when she walked into the room,he just started screaming again. She held him and got him calmed down. I told her to sit him up on her lap and see if he would fall over. In a few mintues he fell foward in her lap. I knew at that point that it was definately drop seizures,which he has never had before. He has many other types seizures,but never drops. So I called Craig to come home and we decided to take him and get him checked out just in case. I'm not sure if he had a drop seizure causing him to fall to begin with,or if the drop seizures came from his first fall. So anyway the doc at the hospital wasn't familiar with AS or with seizures in children. Brady had gotten back to himself once the doctor came in to see him. Brady was very hyper and back to his normal self. The doc asked if we could hold him still for a cat scan,but we said no way,he would have to be sedated. With the recent seizure activity I really didn't want to sedate him. The doc said that he seemed ok and that the knot was superficial. He left the decision up to us,without sedation that is. So we decided just to watch him for any strange behaviors,well stranger than normal anyway. We said if there are any problems we will take him back. I'm not so much worried about the seizures,we know how to handle those and can give diastat if needed,but him hitting his head bothered me. So were just watching him now,hes finally gone to sleep,poor little guy has had a rough night. Were going to follow up with the neuro and see what she says. I will keep you all posted. |

Brady fed me supper!
|
Well Brady doesn't show much interest in feeding himself with a spoon,but I discovered tonight that he loves to feed me,lol. He ate some himself,then decided that it would be even more fun to feed mommy. Of course I did wear a lot of it,and even had to pretend to love eating off an empty spoon,but I'm really proud of him.
He had a good day today,even walked a lot. He can walk all the way down the hallway unassisted now,but likes to know that I'm there to catch him when he falls. Anyway that's about it for now. I will post more later. |

Bradys 4th.
|
We had a busy 4th of July. We had a gathering at maw maw's house yesterday and today. We had a big fish fry last night and started the fireworks but it started pouring down rain so we had to give it up early. So we got together again tonight and had supper and done the fireworks. Brady had a great time both days,but was into everything of course. He loved all the people being there,he is such a monkey. Maw maw made the mistake of putting him on the counter in front of her,and he reached right into the center of her freshly baked cake and got himself a big handful,and of course left a big hole in the cake,lol. Well today,she baked another cake and he pulled up on the counter and grabbed the 2nd new cake. He didn't get it quite as bad,but did leave his mark on it,lol. Of course he didn't eat any of the cakes that he tried to ruin,but he thought it was so funny. He spent yesterday and today flipping the dining room chairs over,turning the lights on and off,clearing everything and anything off the counters and tonight he was trying to figure out how to make ice come out of the ice dispenser on the fridge,luckily we had to go outside for the fireworks before he figured that one out. Oh I almost forgot,he flipped his stroller over for the third time!! He didn't get hurt thank goodness,but he was trying to get out so he could get in the pool. I thought that he would be safe in the stroller,while I cleaned up around the pool,but guess he would have been safer on the ground huh. Oh and the latest thing Brady has started doing is biting the buttons off his shirts,he wont eat food most of the time,but thinks buttons are tasty,go figure!! I guess were going to have to buy all t-shirts for the little bugger. Hes also learned that it is the coolest thing to take all the couch cushions off and throw them in the floor. He loves to flip them all over the room,of course he doesn't bother to put them back when hes done. At the moment,he has a cd stuck on the front of the big screen and has turned the channel so the picture is fuzzy. Did I mention he loves turning the tv channel and readjusting all the settings,whoo hooo! He has turned into quite the little stripper lately too. We have been making him a pretty,blue tape belt all the way around his diapers. I know its not the neatest looking thing,but hey,it keeps down the potty accidents!
Well that's not really everything hes up to lately,but I will save some for next post. There just isn't enough room on this page for everything,lol. I will update soon. Happy July 4th to everyone!! |

Bradys new skill!!
|
Brady finally mastered opening the back french doors,the ones that lead out to the pool!!! The handle is pretty easy to turn,but you have to pull pretty hard on them door to make it come open. Well Brady figured out how to lean back on the handle and pull the door all the way open. He already knows how to open the front door,but doesn't do it often thank goodness. I know that now that he has figured out the pool door,its going to become a big issue. Craig says hes going to put a recloser on all the doors and going to add latches up high so that Brady cant reach them. We are going to start using the alarm system at all times as well. Hopefully we can keep Brady from going swimming and/or visiting the neighbors,without us anyway,lol.
Brady has been in a pretty good mood all weekend. He talked to maw maw on the phone earlier,but all he said to her was "bye maw",she wasn't even done talking to him yet,lol.
Well gotta go,Brady just took his diaper off and he peed in the floor,whoo hooo,not!!! |
