Well, since Brady is no where near sleeping, thought I would post a quick update. Things are going good here, Brady seems be feeling especially good/wild tonight. He has been eating like a little piggy lately, so that's a good thing. He seems to be gaining a little weight, so hopefully no more mooning sessions from him anytime soon. We just got through cleaning up after a big party that he threw for me tonight :( I got him out of the bath, which he never wants to do, and when we were coming down the hallway, I was fussing at him. He very plainly told me "I don't care!" I swear this kid never ceases to amaze me. Were getting ready for his brothers Birthday, going to have a little party tomorrow night, so Brady will really enjoy getting to climb on everyone. I managed to trim his hair tonight, so he no longer looks like a little girl :) Anyways that's about it for me, have tons to do around here, so I will post more tomorrow, and hopefully some pictures. |

Brady has officially joined the snaggle tooth club!!!!!!!!!! I just made him a dentist appt today, since he has had this loose tooth for a while now, and I didn't have the heart to pull it. So tonight, he was sitting in my lap and I couldn't resist but to wiggle it. It flipped out of his mouth and into the chair!! We both started cracking up. I took some pictures and will get some more tomorrow, so be sure and check back to take a peak! Not much else going on here, thank goodness. We went to school today, but overslept so had 15 minutes to get dressed and to school (we made it)! While there we had a practice fire drill. Since I had grabbed the first pants I could find and put on Brady, they happened to be a little big in the waste. As we were making our way across the parking lot to the other school children, I noticed Brady lagging behind, pulling hard on my hand. I looked down to see him cracking up, pants around his ankles, lol lol. About the same time I heard the other kids laughing, Brady thought it was so funny. I think he would have kicked off those pants and went on without them :) His brother said that the other kids said "Peyton, here comes your little brother with his pants down",lol lol! Anyways we got a good laugh and so did everyone else. I think I had better put an xtra belt in the car from now on. Well that's about it for me. Check back for the pics sometime tomorrow. |

Well guys, not much to post, but dad is working and Bradys wide open, so here we are :) Brady is doing well, but had a nap earlier and seems to be up for the night now. He has been in a really good mood today, but had some sort of strange spell earlier. I went to the store while he stayed with his dad. I told his dad to keep him outside, since Brady had been pitching a fit to be outside. When I came home they were sitting here inside and Peyton met me at the door saying Brady was acting really strange. He said that Brady was on the tramopline playing when he starting acting strange and wanted to get down. Craig said when he put him down, Brady couldnt walk he was stumbling around and shaking. Once he brought him in, he started acting better, but has still be really unbalanced. I noticed today that he has been picking at his ear, so I started him on some ear drops earlier, just in case. Brady has been throwing tantrums today, wanting to go to his Maw Maw's. I have said it before, this kid sure has a way of making his point, without saying a word, lol. Anyway, not much else happening here. I will post more later. |

Well guys, its been a while since I posted, so thought I would take a little time to do that tonight. Brady is doing well, no more seizures so far. He is actually sleeping tonight, with no sleeping pill! School is going well, he still enjoys it. We had the Fall Festival Tuesday night, he had a blast socializing with everyone. I swear Brady is turning into more of a monkey every day, he keeps me laughing! He has really gotten into this waving thing. He waves to say hello and to say goodbye. But if he wants to go, he will start waving and lead me to the door. He will also take us by the hand and start waving when he wants us to go somewhere with him. He is getting so good at communicating what it is he wants. We finally got his hot tub cleaned out and moved it outside, under the carport. Tonight is the first night this week that he hasn't been in it, but it wasn't because he didn't want to be. He stood at the door fussing, and would grab my hand, wave bye and take me to the door. When I would tell him that he couldn't get in the hot tub, he would start fussing at me. He is still into the sniffing thing, he sniffs of everything, lol! He will pick up clean socks out of the basket and sniff them, when I give him food, he sniffs it, and he especially loves to sniff my feet, lol. Brady is getting started with Christmas already! I have been buying and wrapping presents all along, well he got into them. He has already managed to open two of his presents. Its funny because he hasn't opened any of the other ones, just his. I will just give you guys a quick run down of some things Brady has been doing lately. Brady's walking has strangely improved since his seizure, I cant really explain that one. He is learning to recognize his name, trying his best to talk to us, he makes all kinds of new sounds. He will grab my face and make me look straight at him, while he tells me something, its so darn cute! He is still very jealous of all of us. He doesn't want Bubba sitting beside me. If Peyton comes over and sits with me, Brady will run over there and pester Peyton until he finally gets up and moves away from us. If I'm sitting next to Brady's dad, Brady does not want him touching me at all. If his dad and I are holding hands, Brady will do everything he can to get our hands apart. Brady has learned to go out to the car, open the door and climb in all by himself, hes such a big boy! He has learned to change the channels with the remote, he loves the movie The Mask :) Brady's eating has really improved, I think hes actually gaining some weight, it looks really good on him. Anyways, thats about it for me. I'm heading off to bed now. I will post more later. |

Well guys, for those of you who don't already know, Brady had a pretty nasty seizure Thursday night :( He went to sleep around 11pm, everything seemed fine before. I was sitting on the couch next to him, watching him sleep, when he jumped up, wide eyed.. His eyes were fixed straight ahead and he wouldn't respond to me at all. I thought that maybe he was falling in his brothers footsteps and was on the verge of sleep walking. I kept talking to him, but his head and eyes started going to the right side. This wasn't like one of his typical seizures, so it took me a bit to be sure that's what it actually was. As I carried him to the bedroom to wake up his dad, his eyes and head remained fixed to the right side. We got his magnet and diastat from the car, swiped him 4 times, but the seizure didn't stop. It did go from just his eyes and head being fixed, to his right arm jerking, and eventually he ended up screaming for about 5 minutes straight. It was about 20 minutes and 4 swipes later, that we gave diastat and finally got the seizure stopped. After about 30 minutes, he started throwing up, which hes never done after a seizure, so we weren't sure if it was from the seizure, VNS, diastat or a virus. He threw up from about 1am, to 7am, and developed a low grade temp, so we made our minds up that he must have had a virus. He has done well this weekend, but has been napping a lot, so his sleeping is all messed up at the moment. In between naps, he has been in a good mood, being a happy little monkey as usual. He still tells us that hes voting for Obama, hes definitely a rebel, lol. And for some strange reason he has developed a fetish with stinky feet and socks, lol lol...... He has been sniffing socks and even my feet all day, and no, my feet do not stink :) Well thats about it for now. I will keep you guys posted on how things go here. We have increased Brady's keppra back up for a while, then will probably get his VNS turned up in a couple of weeks. Hope you all get some rest, I'm heading that way shortly! |
