Brady is well!
|
| Just wanted to let everyone know that Brady had a great Christmas despite his seizure and strep.He was feeling lots better and was able to attend Christmas with the family.He got lots of presents and had a blast! He has been playing with all his new toys everyday.Thank goodness we havent seen any loss in skills since his seizure,so that is wonderful.I will keep you guys posted on how things are going.Thanks for being so faithful here.Hugs |

Its fundraiser time again!!

| Just wanted to let you all know that its ASF fundraising time again.We raised appx $1500 last year,whoo hooo! But we want to make that even better this year by doubling that, I have faith with everyone's help,we can do this!!Be sure and keep a check here on Bradys blog for progress on the fundraising.Big hugs to you all.And we want to thank everyone in advance for all your support last year and the years to come!! Strep throat!

| Well we took Brady for tests today,his strep test came back +. So I guess thats why he is running a temp now.He started antibotics today so hopefully he will be well for Christmas! Anyways,I will keep you posted. |

Bradys seizure.
|
| Well tonight was supposed to be fun and the first part was. We opened Christmas presents and the boys had a blast. Brady was able to open some and just loves his new presents. At about 11pm we were still putting together some of the toys they got. I noticed that Brady felt a bit warm,so I checked his temp and it was 102. I gave him motrin and shortly after he went into a seizure. He seized for 3 to 5 minutes before we gave diastat. It was a really bad granmal seizure. Anyway he did stop after the diastat but we still remain on guard and will be watching him for the rest of the night. His brother is just getting over 9 days with a fever from the flu,so we suspect that is what Brady has. There is a strong chance that he will end up in the hospital. Hes going through some med changes at the moment,and I just dont know if we can ward off all the seizures here at home,if he has temp for 9 days. Anyway just wanted to update everyone. Bradys surgery.
|
| Well just wanted to let everyone know that we took Brady to the Ent last week. It seems that his tonsils are enlarged are going to have to come out.The doc thinks that it will help if not correct his bad sleeping and eating habits that he has aquired over the past year. So we are headed up to Childrens Hospital on Tuesday to see a different doc,and most likey schedule surgery. Brady will have to spend at least one night in the hospital,they dont want to do it outpatient with Bradys history. So I will let you all know what we find out on Tuesday.Hugs and bye for now. |

My big escape!!!!!

Hey yall
Its me,Brady! Ive been hearing of lots of blog jacking going on lately,so I just wanted to see what all the whoo hooin was about,hey after all this is my blog,but shhhhhhh dont tell my mommy im here ok.I was laying down with my mommy and daddy in their bed,but after bouncing,patting them on the heads,and scratching out like a little bull,I decided they were no fun,so I made my escape to the living room,shhhhhh dont tell them Im up ok,ha ha ha.Anyway I wanted to tell you about what fun I had a couple of days ago! You see big brother and me were heading to my therapy room to play,so we wanted mommy to think anyway,heee heee heee.So we made our way down the hallway and off to the therapy room. After only a short few minutes mommy came to check on us. I think she thought it was waaaayyy to quiet for her sweet little boys to be playing in there. Well when she came in she got a shock! Me and brother were nowhere to be found and the door to the outside was wide open. You should have seen my mommy running out that door yelling for me,it was just to funny!I didnt say anything though,I just sat quietly in my sandbox eating my blue sand,yummy it does taste so much better than that regular sand. You see my brother had decided to go over to maw maws house and didnt tell my mommmy,and he was so sweet to leave the door open for me to make my escape,we are such a good team! So anyway after watching my mommy acting all crazy,I just couldnt help but to laugh out loud and then I was busted.She was freaking out because I was outside without her,and because I had only a diaper on in 60 degree weather. Boy that diaper sure is a good place to hide blue sand! So after I got busted mommy took me inside back to my little prison called the living room,but not before she gave me a bath to make me white again,hee hee. Well thats about it for now I guess. This blog thingy is pretty cool,I will visit again real soon. Oh and I have been on mommy about putting some more pictures of me on here,I will make sure she does real soon,so just keep watching. Slimey kisses to you all!!!I gotta go take the Christmas tree apart and open some presents while mommy and daddy are in bed,yipppeeee! |

Brady

| Just wanted to let everyone know,yes I was delirious when I wrote that poem a couple nights ago,lol lol.No seriously,just wanted to let you know,Brady is doing well.His pokie dot rash seems to be going away,but hes still taking his meds.It was unconfirmed,but believed to be Scarlet Fever,yet another strange illness checked off on Bradys list of illnesses that I want him to get a cold,but why cant he get something simple and easy to figure out,lol.I have forbid both boys to get sick at all next year,lol.Anyway things are going well,Brady is actually sleeping tonight,so Im headed that way myself very soon.At the moment just enjoying the peace and quiet of the house.Were all ready for Christmas now.Brady of course is overly anxious to rip into the presents,so it should be a hoot this year.I will be sure and take lots of pictures for his blog.Well gotta go eat my very late supper.Oh also wanted to share this with you all,when I walked out of the room yesterday,Brady got his cup,went to the kitchen and was going to get himself a can of milk.But the box of pediasure was empty so he just sat and banged his cup on the floor beside it,lol.Hes really understand so much lately,hes such a big boy!I am so excited.Hugs to you all. |

Twas Sometime Before Christmas.
|
Twas sometime before Christmas,when all through the house only one creature was stiring,and he wasn't a mouse,his hair a golden blonde and eyes a bright blue,better look out hes coming for you!
The lights were all dim and the gates locked with care,in the hopes that the golden haired Angel would soon go to sleep,but oh why would he dare! Big brother was all nestled in bed,while visions wild,climbing,yanking,giggling,sliming Angels danced in his head. While mama wasn't yet settled,and handing the Angel his pap,she watched the wild man and dreamed of a nap.
When here in the locked up living room,came such a clatter,mom sprang to her feet to see whats the matter! Away to the couch she flew like a flash,yanked off the ripped down blind and underneath she did find,a naked little Angel,with a big red rash. With a cute little twinkle he was a tinkle, all over the brand new sofa.With a giggle and a snicker he laughed with delight,could he actually drive his mom insane in just one night,oh yeaaaaa,that he just might.
The moon shining in the window,heres to hoping that the Angel will be all settled in to sleep soon,so we don't have to see the sunrise again,oh but no,he has other plans,im sure it'll be noon!
Mommy finally sat down for a break,oh this opportunity the little angel must take!When what now,to her wondering eyes would appear,a wild little Angel,ripping into the Christmas presents with no fear.She knew at that moment that midnight must be near,you see the Angels get restless at that time of morn,they all start shouting ga ga,ah ah,and sounding their horns!!
As the dry leaves before the wild hurricanes fly,they don't compare to the little Angel as he makes his own path of destruction,oh sigh oh sigh!
When I meet with an obstacle, I blow it away,with my hurricane force winds I don't dare play!You see for Im a little Angel with big,big plans,no one can stop me not woman nor man!
And then, in a twinkling, mom heard on the hard wood floor,the pitter,the patter of manic little Angel knees going for more. Oh here I go to the gate,with a yank and a pull,Im outta here like a little spotted bull. Catch me if you can ,down the hall to the closed doors I go,I knock and I yell aaah aaah,da da ,bu ba,oh oh.While mom just follows and says oh dear, oh dear,please isn't morning getting near!
I think shes delirious at this point,so why not pour out her drink,and color on new sofa with some delightful blue ink. Now I'll rip up some of Bubas school papers,maybe eat one or two,yank off the couch cushions and laugh with all my might,while I take apart my dads new light,and eat a battery or maybe even a few.
Anyway Im not winding down,but seems my mom is,I have many more good hours,just ye watch this.So all ye rest,ye get some sleep,please dream for us and make not a peep.See ye at noon,don't worry,we'll be back real soon.Have a very Merry Christmas and to all a good night! |

Update on Brady
|
Well its been a little while since we updated so I wanted to catch everyone up on what Brady is up to these days. Btw,thanks so much to those of you who follow Bradys blog.
Anyway,hes doing well these days. Brady told his dad "I love you",a couple weeks ago.So far hes managed to say I love you to his dad,and say luv my Bubba,Im starting to get a little jealous,lol.No seriously its amazing to hear that little mouth actually speaking words.The docs told to us to only expect a 2 to 3 word vocabulary throughout his entire life,little did they know he would even speak a sentence,way to go Brady.Hes up to nearly 10 words not,he might not use all of them all the time,but at least he uses them.Were so proud of our little man! Hes doing well these days,has been a little sick this week,but seems to be getting over it now.At the moment he hasnt slept much so hes laying around on the couch.Hes such a smart little cookie these days,I can barely keep up with him.Hes got such a way of figuring things out,like locks on gates!Hes also learning to bring me a can of his ensure when he wants it in his cup.He has been bringing his cup to us for a while now,when he wants something in it,but now we are teaching him to actually bring us his can of milk.Its amazing to watch him grow and learn so many new skills.I know that there is a wonderful little boy locked up in there,just fighting to get out.I can see the knowledge in his eyes,I can tell that he really does understand what we are saying to him.Most of the time I can see that look of just being outright stubborn,but hey what 4 year old isnt stubborn.I think he gets that from his dads side though,lol.Anyway things are coming along nicely. Hes doing well in thearpies,and in prek.Well he has escaped,so I better go find him before he decides to take a bath or go for a stroll outside.Hugs |
