Angelman Walkathon
Just wanted to let everyone know that we went to the Angelman Walk A Thon this weekend, and had a blast!!!We met so many other wonderful Angels and their wonderful families. This was our first time ever meeting other Angels, even though we have talked many times to these families online,so it was very special to us. I was really nervous about going, but after we got to our hotel and started meeting all the other families, we felt right at home. It was like we were with extended family, our Angelman family. The Angels were all just so friendly and boy did they know how to let you know what they wanted, lol.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be able meet other families. I feel so honored to be a part of this wonderful Angelman family. I really don't know what we would have done without their support through these past 2yrs. It has been a journey,an emotional roller coaster, but we have learned a lot from our little Angel, and he has given us an opportunity that most people never get in their lifetime. He has taught us how to laugh, love, and how to be patient with others. He has taught us how not to be judgmental, everyone has their own story to tell. We have learned that God will not place more on our plate than what we can handle,we just have to trust in him and know that he knows what he is doing. Brady has taught us how to laugh at the little mishaps, its not the end of the world. We are just happy that he can get in the potty,or in the cabinents,or climb on the table. We have learned not to take little things for granted.

I know that we have a long journey ahead, but God,our Angelman family, our wonderful friends and family will be there to see us through. We have learned just how many special people that we do have in our lives.

So with that said,I just want to say thank you to all of you have helped us along the way,and will help us in the journey to come. We really are so blessed to be touched by a little Angel Brady and are glad to share him with you and the rest of the world!!!

About Brady

Read Brady's Story Here

I am 11yrs old and I have Angelman Syndrome. I may have this syndrome, but I dont let it hold me back. I love life and live it to the fullest every single day. My mom says that our research organization, Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, is working really hard on a treatment or even a cure for me and my friends. I am thankful to have 25 words but I look forward to the day that I can carry on long conversations and talk so much that everybody has to ask me to please be quiet for a few minutes :) Anyway, mom says Im awesome and super funny and I have to agree, lol.
